Professor Heinrich A.Stammler

Heinrich A. Stammler is a Professor at the University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kansas, Department of Slavic Languages and Literature. Born and educated in Germany, Professor Stammler is quite proficient in Russian, Bulgarian and Slavic languages. He was attached to the German Embassy in Moscow in 1934-1935, and later to the German Embassy in Sofia, Bulgaria, 1940-1942. During 1937-1940, he was an instructor in modem foreign languages at the Svistov Business College in Bulgaria. In addition to his native language, he speaks fluently and has written numerous books and articles in German, English, Russian and other European languages.
The following is a lecture delivered by Professor Stammler in the United States to an audience of Bulgarian immigrants from Macedonia and their descendants, who now live permanently in the USA.
