This is the list of Early Christian sites. The following is remarked: Early Christian churches-basilicas were excavated, sites where basilicas certainly are, but not excavated yet, indicative sites from where were took out and dislocated or there still are certain examples of characteristical Early Christian architectonic stone elements which belonged to the basilica, rare examples of such elements were registered in dislocated position and this indicate of existence of basilica nearby.

It is clear that one part of the mentioned examples on the list will be annuled, the other part will be more precisely located in the future with the help of the detailed examination of the terrain and with the archaeological researches, but it is obvious that the mentioned number of examples is not definite. At least 90 or even more fortificated oppida-towns existed on the territory of Republic of Macedonia. Except them, at least 100 bigger or smaller castles existed (see Mikulčić L, Kasnoantička utvrđenja u SR Makedoniji, pokušaj klasifikacije, Materijali SADJ XXII, Novi Sad 1986, 108-110). Only in one small part of them were found Early Christian churches, and it is clear that their excavation is to come, particularly in the oppida, so the real number of Early Christian churches in the Republic of Macedonia is certainly bigger than mentioned number in this text.
